Exhibition

The collaboration with Svenskt Tenn for Christmas 2025 not only included the concept for the exhibition campaign “Pick Your Poison”, but we had the honour of designing the annual holiday collection of seasonal ornaments as well.

Josef Frank’s bold “Poisons” textile pattern set the tone for the title, depicting tempting poisons such as grape vines (wine), hops (beer) and tobacco leaves. It inspired a bold and modern Christmas palette of black and bright primary hues. In spirit of celebration, the exhibition invitation was in the form of a cocktail napkin and coaster, delivered in a dramatic black envelope.

The product design included a circular tree topper and hanging ornaments in hand-hammered brass, where coloured glass beads, like drops of poison, add a playful yet elegant detail.

The product design included a circular tree topper and hanging ornaments in hand-hammered brass, where small glass beads, like drops of poison, add a playful yet elegant detail. The shapes find dimension through folds and were inspired by the simple geometric forms of early Svenskt Tenn pieces, as the work of Björn Trägårdh and Nils Fougstedt during the Swedish Grace (Nordic Art Deco) period. Our ambition was to create products that reference the heritage and craftsmanship of Svenskt Tenn while having a contemporary flair. Ornaments that could be hung on a tree but also used in other areas of the home, like a window or doorway.

Svenskt Tenn’s Christmas exhibitions are highly anticipated for Stockholmers each year, so the concept and products needed to surprise and delight this discerning group.

The invitation came in the form of a cocktail napkin and coaster with the “Poisons” print by Josef Frank.

The holiday exhibition is highly anticipated for Stockholmers each year and the window decor should set the tone for celebration. This year the design reflects the hanging ornaments with festive gold surfaces.

Inspired by early Svenskt Tenn and cocktail parties of the 1930’s during the nordic Art Deco movement known as Swedish Grace, where classical ornamentation meets modern form.

The tree topper “Top Moon” in hand-hammered brass allows the light to dance across the surface. It is given form through the centre fold, simplifying the classical Christmas star. The tapered design slots over the tree top as well as stands on it’s own as a decoration.

The series of hanging ornaments in hand-hammered brass, with coloured glass beads, like drops of poison add a playful yet elegant detail.

The holiday exhibition at Svenskt Tenn takes the form of a Christmas market, where the hanging ornaments and baubels took center stage.

The coloured glass baubles are decorated with hand-painted ribbons, which swirl when turned – a simple, understated tribute to bands, both real and symbolic, that bind us together during the festive season.
